The black diamond is the flat (Via Fragalà 7). Everything north runs up the A18 coast road; everything south runs down the Siracusa motorway. Add 20–40 minutes to any satnav estimate — Sicilian traffic is real.
In short: land, drop bags, bus up the coast for snorkelling among the Cyclops rock stacks, aperitivo by the castle, first night out near the flat.

Etna has been erupting since 6 August and remains active. The Monday tour operates at around 2,000 m under licensed guides and adapts its route daily. Check flight status the evening before both flights, confirm the tour with the operator on Sunday, and follow their guidance if anything is rescheduled.
